It’s been quite a while since my last post. Too much has been going on in my life to divulge at the moment so onward to the more interesting things happening right now.
For the past five months, I’ve been fortunate to work along side Jim Szubyrt at Accenture for their TFS Deployment Automation project. I had the privilege of testing two platforms: InCycle/Microsoft Release Management 2013 for Visual Studio and Octopus Deploy. After several months of testing, I came to the conclusion that Octopus Deploy was the solution to use. For the past several weeks, I’ve been diving head-first into Octopus Deploy and I couldn’t be happier with our decision.
Last week I had a demonstration at work that showed how quick and useful Octopus Deploy is to integrate into your build process. After some positive feedback, I’ve decided to start writing a series of articles building on my experience after working with Octopus in the upcoming weeks.
Most of the content will revolve around technical details and implementation. I’ll have a few articles up this week. There’s a lot to cover so I anticipate several weeks if not month’s worth of information to cover.
